My current experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction includes Charter Constructions $56M Equinox Condominiums on South Lake Union, Seattle. I updated Record Documents, reviewed drawings for code compliance for Accessibility and Egress issues. Created and QC’d door and hardware schedule for 1,400 doors, QC’d MEP Rough-in’s, Acoustical and Fire Rated Assemblies. Created completion and punch lists for finishes. Responsible for gathering, organizing and providing to owner all Closeout Documents.
Another recent project was at Bird Construction’s Cabela’s $32M retail store in Lacey. While I had responsibility for traditional project engineering duties including RFI processing, Submittals, CCD’s, Plan updates, LEED administration, Punch and Closeout this project was anything but traditional. What is typically a 18 month project was completed in just seven months. Under constant pressure to move quickly, I worked as a team player to resolve all problems, big and small, that stood in the way of progress.
Other commercial projects include $17M Wal-Mart Supercenter in Yelm, WA and a $30M Multi-Use mid-rise apartment complex in Downtown Los Angeles with Project Engineering responsibilities to write RFIs, track submittals, submit daily reports, take owner and subcontractor meeting minutes, coordinate subcontractors, manage quality control and obtain permits.
I have been in the construction business for over 30 years with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Please see attached resume.
I look forward to the opportunity to interview for the position and for you to assess my fit for both future projects and the company.
Regards,
Raymond Skinner
