• 25 years licensed, bonded, independent Framing Contractor specializing in foundations, and frameworks including floors, walls, roofs, and siding. Skilled in quickly erecting skeletal structure of buildings, including beams, rafters and other large-scale work.
• Manage coordination of all project operations including bids, labor, supplies, work schedule, and related technicalities.
• Supervise crew in a manner that increases productivity by organizing work schedule and establishing priorities and efficient habits.
• Extensive knowledge and application of building codes for single and multi-unit structures.
• Ability to interpret and apply complicated building plans, specifications, blueprints and sketches.
• Implements building plans for structure.
• Determines requirements and requisitions specialized materials, tools and equipment for routine and non-routine projects.
• Applies full range of carpentry skills and techniques in construction, repairing, remodeling and maintaining a variety of wooden structures where accuracy, space, and fit are essential and structural soundness and appearance are important.
• Overseeing responsibilities for project progress and reporting requirements to general contractor on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines. Directs, trains and motivates employees to complete duties with efficient and accurate results.
• Knowledge of power and hand tools such as various saws, pneumatic nail guns, concrete boring tools, various forms of builders levels, transit, laser levels, torches, other steel cutting implements, etc.
• Skill of various types of forklifts.
• Skill of boom lifts, scissor lifts, and suspended personnel basket.
• Skilled in all construction measurements: standard, metric, decimal, and decimal feet.
• Takes personal responsibility for safety in the working environment and promotes safety among peers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Established knowledge and skill of concrete formwork and structural carpentry.
• Erects and strips various types of concrete formwork systems.
• Installs miscellaneous metalwork items such as platforms, stairs, and handrails.
• Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine the dimensions of a structure.
• Selects materials that meet appearance and specified load requirements.
• Sets/installs miscellaneous concrete embeds such as waterstops and anchor bolts.
• Assists with concrete forming and pouring.
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
• Ability to counsel or teach co-workers technical aspects of the industry.
• Layout—measuring, marking, and arranging materials in accordance with local building codes.
• Final check of the accuracy of completed work making any necessary adjustments.
• Endure prolonged standing, lifting, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Endures strenuous activity under extreme environmental conditions including prolonged standing, climbing, stooping, and kneeling while handling heavy equipment and materials.
• Experienced in working under potentially dangerous surroundings or conditions.
• Possesses excellent manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and physically fit.
