EXPERIENCE:
I am state licensed/certified as a Union Electrician in the State of California, Lic # 135937, and have completed a formal apprenticeship program. I have NCCER certification. I am a journeyman electrician and am affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, IBEW Local 302 in Martinez, California.
2009-Present: I am currently a Fluor electrical supervisor at Chevron Refinery in Richmond, CA. I have experience managing a large team of electricians, and specialize in blueprint reading, interpreting specifications and job orders, and establishing/adjusting work sequences to meet a construction schedule. I have strong skills in troubleshooting, equipment controls, electrical fixtures, safety standards and the electrical codes. I specialize in analyzing and resolving work problems with a high level of quality and conformance to specifications with limited supervision. I am a very strict enforcer of safety and company policies and procedures.
I have 18 years of experience in the electrical trade, and five years as an electrical supervisor. I have experience in all facets of construction including electrical, carpentry, woodworking, masonry, plumbing and roofing. I’ve handled interior retail remodeling, and exterior residential cement walkways, decking, and drywall work. I have HVAC experience. Here is a more detailed summarization of my prior work experience:
2007-2008: General Foreman at Conoco Phillips, Rodeo, California. I supervised up to 15 electricians to complete various electrical construction projects under John Guadarama (925-577-7249). These projects included temporary power, power and cable tray, and grounding.
2000-2007: I worked as a superintendent for Done Right Construction, Brentwood, California under Rich Delaney (925-584-4397). We completed numerous large housing and commercial projects including all facets of construction including remodeling as well as new construction.
1989-2000: I worked on multiple projects as an electrician for various large contractors who were signatory with IBEW Local 302. We handled industrial, residential and commercial work. These contracts were within Contra Costa County, California, and included Dawson Electric, Crocket Electric, and Contra Costa Electric. During this time I served my electrical apprenticeship during which job rotation is a requirement to gain a broad level of experience in the field.
