MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Responsible for change management to include generation and tracking of change orders and their relationship to cost, RFI‘s, contract and schedule impact. Liaise with field engineering, owner’s representatives and vendors to ensure proper information flow and execution. Also acting startup and commissioning lead to include evaluation of deliverables, punch list generation and resolution, and adherence to commissioning schedule and workflow.
PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGER, Jamaica, West Indies
MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Responsible for specification and scope of work generation for the mining operations and construction component Alcoa World Wide Aluminum; schedule deliverables and ensure seamless communications between Alcoa’s owners team and engineering groups in the US, UK, Austria, China and Taiwan. Utilize technology to track project specifics for extremely complex and detailed projects including Ropecon (modified ski gondola carrying bauxite 7 kilometers over the mountains to a loading station).
* I was employed for approximately 6 months in 2009 for Wachter Electric as an electrical project manager between contract periods with CCC Group.
COST ENGINEER / CAPITAL PROCUREMENT MANAGER, Jamaica, West Indies
MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Served as procurement manager charged with overseeing on- and off-shore procurement accounts in excess of $77M. Responsible for resource allocation for $174M mining expansion project for Alcoa World Wide Aluminum; scheduled deliverables and ensured seamless communications between Alcoa procurement in the US and engineering groups in the UK, Austria, China and Taiwan.
