OBJECTIVE: My primary objective is to seek a challenging position in this company where hard work and personnel leadership will lead to company success and mutual growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
For many years now I have worked with scores of skilled artisans. Leading these men and using my various skills in estimating, purchasing and scheduling deliveries of products and most importantly customer service. I’ve worked closely with homeowners maintaining their idea’s for a given job and transforming their dreams into a reality. I’ve found out over the years that the most rewarding part of my job is being able to work with the best of the best, of taking an idea on paper and making it a tangible success. For the past twenty years I’ve made the most of untenable of situations, livable, surviving the 1990’s by tightening my proverbial belt and making my business more streamlined. Delivering jobs ahead of schedule, while staying under budget is how I made my living throughout my career. I design all plans from creation to completion and then implement them.

Employment
J.R. Savich Construction 1980-1984
My responsibilities started out as a laborer in 1980, building primarily vinyl inground swimming pools. This was seasonal work, the other seven months of the year we did roofing, siding, decks, additions, garages, you name it. We did a lot of site work, squaring up, pouring footings, shooting elevations, plumbing, pouring concrete, all while on strict time schedules. I was promoted to Foreman in just three years. Later in 1983 I became a sub contractor for John Savich my boss. I think it is clear that most of my knowledge of construction and general experience in this field came from working with John my boss.
Chris Kauffman Siding and Home Improvements 1984-1989 (Sole Proprietor)
In the eighties I had one of the larger siding companies in Montgomery County. My company completed over 1,000 new homes for four large builders, we also did some government work in low income housing projects. My goal of one thousand homes was achieved two years earlier than anticipated, builders compensation began to slow so we got out without a knick. Through extensive research we decided that the best course of action for everyone was to get out of the new housing market and instead focus my energy on home improvements. I managed to obtain a six million dollar gross in less than five years time. Upon sale of the siding business in 1989 Curb Appeal was in print (two months prior to the sale). This was a fantastic experience while it lasted.
Curb Appeal 1989- Present (Sole Proprietor )
Responsibilities : Sales, Estimating , Purchasing, Design, Drafting, Permits, Project Manager, and Expeditor.
I have been actively involved in all the above job titles. After the nineties I maintained the same work habits, and do mostly everything it takes to keep a job progressing on my own. For me to be successful I like to accelerate the production of a work schedule by stacking subs. My philosophy is that nobody pays you more if the job takes longer, so go as fast as possible, while maintaining quality. That’s why I’m there, to keep not only the standards high, but to keep the inspectors happy as well. Ultimately, we all do this for the money. So why not make the most of it. Every customer is a reference. No exception. . www.Callcurbappeal.com
Military Service
United States Air Force 1976-1980
My first assignment after boot camp was in California, I worked at Air force Vehicle Operations. I worked in harmony with about fifty other GI’s, maintaining approximately nineteen hundred vehicles base wide. After that I was promoted to heavy equipment or “Tractor Trailer Instructor” . Responsibilities of the above included the safe operation, maintenance and training on tractor trailers. I managed to attend college full time for most of that period of time.
My next assignment was South Korea, where I was promoted for my third time. This job was called WRM (or War Readiness Materials). I was given my own special fleet of vehicles to distribute base wide, but most of the vehicles were combat ready. I received accommodations that year, one for outstanding achievement and the other for outstanding performance during an O.R.I.. Inspection. Honorably discharged in 1980.
