Provided program & project management support to DOE’s Environmental Management (EM) Office. Managed an onsite contracting team of up to 20. Oversaw bidding and construction of an urban, mixed-use project consisting of 1 office building, 2 residential buildings, 1 hotel, and 3 levels of underground parking. Managed architects, consultants, and contractors in order to maintain aggressive delivery schedules for design, permitting, and construction. Reviewed competitive cost & schedule estimates and negotiated contracts. Evaluated contractor performance through project controls and cost & schedule analysis. Performed timely financial reporting to investors and senior management. Evaluated complicated site conditions and constraints for constructibility. Performed VE analysis of the project designs in order to effectively reduce costs and to remain viable and competitive in the marketplace. Participated in LEED review to achieve LEED-NC Silver rating on one building and LEED-NC Certified rating on two buildings. Acted as company liaison to WMATA to maintain aggressive construction and opening milestones for expansion and upgrade of an existing Metro railway station.
