Estimator:
For four years served as hurricane resistant, window- estimator, inside
sales person for US Aluminum. Established an estimating program aimed
at training our glazing contractors to price and install our new hurricane
resistant products. Sales during this period, prior to recession, increased
by 50%. A new standard for design and installation of wind loaded
resistant products was adopted by our contractors and made available
to them by our two man team of estimators. Earned BS in Computer
Science, while working full time at US Aluminum. (2006-2009)
Owner/Estimator:
As head of Blue Line Estimating and Drafting developed a sales/customer
service/ engineering firm aimed at businesses that fabricated roof and
floor trusses, windows, storefront, curtain-wall, and reinforced concrete
structures. We aggressively adopted impeccable customer service metrics
and for one customer I even worked in house for 1 year. (2002-2006)
Detailer/ Project Manager:
As detailer trainee at Ameristeel was taught to interpret plans and
specifications for the application of concrete reinforcing. After this training
was successfully complete I requested a CAD machine and trained myself
to make CAD drawings using Microstation. Later volunteered for the part
time position of computer networker and became certified in PC Hardware
and maintenance. Was later selected as one of several detailers to make a
company training manual for use by all trainees. (1997-2002)
