PROFILE
An experienced HR professional whose career spans many employment sectors; public, private, service and retail. Increased responsibilities have followed me throughout my career. Extremely qualified in areas of employee relations and the entire talent management process. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2008 – 2009 Team Fishel, Columbus, Ohio REGIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (Midwest Region – OH, IN, KY, TN, PA, VA)
Responsibilities included Human Resource and Training & Development activities for Teammates in the Midwest operations covering the states of Ohio, Indiana. Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. I traveled to these field locations on a weekly or monthly basis. I was also responsible for the talent management process and succession planning for each operation center. Served as point of contact within the Region for all employee relation issues and collaborated with corporate HR when needed and assisted Area Managers to determine and recommend best resolutions.
Key Achievements:
· Directed the only Region in the company to exceed 90% completion rating for our 2008 training goals. Midwest Region had a 96% completion rate
· Directed the only Region in the company to meet the individual training goal of 40 hours of training per Teammate
· Assisted in the creation of High Impact Training module for our field Teammates
· Developed and implemented a succession plan for each of the operation centers and worked closely with Area Managers to establish a mentor program and criteria and action plans to develop future leaders
· Successfully managed applicant flow process that enabled me to keep an active pipeline of potential Teammates and committed to forwarding a maximum of the top 20 percent of applicants to the hiring managers.
· Teamed with the other Regional HR Managers to implement a Corporate wide Wellness Initiative served as project manager for Midwest Region
· Worked together with our Corporate HR Team in the resolution of Workers Compensation, Unemployment and General Liabilities claims
2006 – 2008 Adecco Staffing, Columbus, Ohio BRANCH MANAGER
Effectively manage a full-service sales office with 4 direct reports and have grown sales in my branch by 35% over previous year. I have over 300 associates on assignment throughout Central Ohio and act as there Human Resource liaison with Client Company and Adecco.
Key Achievements:
· Was selected to serve as interim manager for 3 other branches as well as managing my home branch and finalizing the closure of our Downtown Columbus Branch.
· Chosen for a select national Branch Manager training program that targeted potential leadership talent.
· Increased sales revenue over 35% and branch is on target to become profitable for the first time in 2 years.
2003 – 2006 Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, Dublin, Ohio HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
Executed with a high degree of accuracy all human resource generalist functions for one of the highest sales volume store in Ohio. I was responsible the store talent management process and leader of the succession plan implementation. Responsible for all employee relation issues within the store and collaborated with other HR managers within the district to assist them on critical issues.
Key Achievements:
· Managed major seasonal hiring plan ensuring a 60-40 ratio of part-time to full-time associates
· Directed on boarding process and new hire training
· Maintained a retention rate of above 80% for two consecutive years
· Successful leveraging of actual payroll dollars against payroll budget
· District representative for diversity recruitment efforts for 8 central Ohio stores
· Held focus group discussions with associates to address their needs and concerns
· Store achieved top 10% status for employee satisfaction for 2004 & 2005

1999 – 2003 Telhio Credit Union, Columbus, Ohio DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Responsibilities included leading the strategic HR business functions for one of Ohio’s largest credit union. I worked with and presented to Senior Management Team recommendations on Human Resource policy and compensation and benefit plans. As well I was responsible for all human resource generalist functions including but not limited to recruitment and retention, performance improvement plans, payroll, position description evaluation and investigations.
Key Achievements
· Reduced turnover below industry standards for three consecutive years from 40% to 22%
· Negotiated health insurance premiums to be under national average for two consecutive years without adversely affecting employees’ benefits. (From a 45% increase to 14% & 9% respectively)
· Developed Human Resources policy manual and employee handbook
· Successfully investigated harassment and discrimination cases in which all my findings were supported by legal counsel
1997 – 1999 Heartland of Urbana/Arbors at Hilliard, Urbana/Hilliard, Ohio HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
Responsible for all human resource generalist functions for 120 – 150 employees. Assured all professional and para-professional staff maintained state credentials. Maintained all workers compensation and OSHA files to states and federal standards.
Key Achievements
· Developed in-house training program for nursing assistants with cooperation from local education career service center
· Aided in the state accreditation for Arbors at Hilliard in 1999
· Created an employee recognition program that awarded employees for attendance and safety
· Chaired the safety committee and reviewed all accidents that occurred in the facilities each month, reduce accidents by 50%
1990 – 1997 Department of Jobs & Family Services, Urbana, Ohio EMPLOYMENT COUNSELOR / JOB DEVELOPER
Served as a counselor for public assistance recipients to return to the workforce. Also, I worked with employers to conduct needs assessments to evaluate the type of training needed to enhance the employability of the public assistance customer.
Key Achievements:
· Assisted in the creation of county wide employment and training program that taught employability as well as life skills
· Enjoyed a 90% placement rate for customers that completed all training activities
· Sat as an executive board member of the Logan/Champaign County Drug and Alcohol Council
