Immediate need for a Director of Construction for this rapidly growing provider of energy saving solutions. Management of all construction project personnel and construction of Combined Heat and Power projects from an EPC viewpoint while working closely with VP of Construction and customers. Two bonus plans available and relocation assistance offered. Construction commission percentage based on GM, and corporate bonus plan up to 15%.
Degree is not required but highly desired.Responsibilities:-> Providing energy saving solutions such as, Energy Performance Contracting, Thermal Energy Solutions, Electricity Generation, and Renewable Energy-> Direct and supervise professional staff up to 5 (project managers, engineers, construction managers) with operations throughout the US to provide design build construction and performance contracts to federal, state and local governments, and universities-> Manage and coordinate multiple design/build projects with revenue up to $30,000,000 per year-> Review contracts with clients and subcontracts to mitigate construction risks and select qualified subcontractors-> Insure projects are commissioned so projects meet long term energy savings performance guarantees and environmental permit requirements-> Develop constructive and long lasting relationships with customers and subcontractors-> Support the Vice President of Construction's corporate objectives-> Insure staff and subcontractors adhere to customer and company safety programsRequirements:-> Bachelor of Science in Engineering or commensurate progressive experience in mechanical contracting and or energy services contracting-> Must have 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in the project/construction management of projects from $500K to $30M-> Must have experience in estimating design development, permitting, utility interconnection, design, construction and commissioning of renewable energy projects, cogeneration projects and energy projects-> Experience with the installation of design/build, own, operate and or maintain cogeneration and generating projects under energy services agreements with local, state, federal government and large academic institutions is extremely helpful and preferred-> Direct experience as a project manager on projects from 250kw up to 10mw with gas turbines and internal combustion engine technologies-> Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office is needed-> Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed to meet responsibilities (30% travel)Benefits:-> Extensive benefit offerings available during interview process Related Words: construction project manager, director of project management, construction director, director of construction, construction project manager, vp of construction, president of construction, construction program manager |
