Job Description:
SUMMARY Perform engineering duties in connection with the planning, design, and construction of new facilities as well as the modification and expansion of existing buildings/structures. Perform analysis and design of complex concrete, steel, and masonry structures utilizing computer models that reflect the structural analysis criteria for use by other disciplines. Coordinate design documents with other design disciplines; review all drawings for conformance; rely on extensive experience to mentor junior engineers and designers, and provide guidance and decision making for projects. Create, modify, and check drawings produced by the Structural Department.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Bachelor?s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.Minimum of ten (10) years of experience is required.Must have experience with CAD Software. Must have successfully passed the PE exam.Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications. Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team. POET is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
