Job Description:
Leads and directs the development and execution of the unregulated solar business (the Business) strategy for PSEG. Leads and manages the operations of the Business including governance, budgeting, business development, P&L management, staffing, communications, financial assessment, and all aspects of project/asset development, construction, operations and management.

Develops and directs the personnel and their activities for the Business including PSEG Solar Source employees and as relates to the achievement of the Business objectives, members of other corporate teams. Produces and manages all procedures, policies, systems and general initiatives required for excellence and continuous improvement in development and operation of the Business.

Develops and maintains effective strategic relationships with all key stakeholders. Develops and maintains an environment that promotes diversity, integrity, team work, and excellence that enables PSEG to be the leader in developing, owning, operating and maintaining safe, reliable and profitable utility scale solar assets in the U.S.

Education:
The successful incumbent will have a Bachelors Degree in engineering. MBA strongly desired

Candidate Profile:
A well-qualified candidate for the Director Renewables position must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience or more hands on experience in the development of power plant projects. This will include EPC management experience. This experience will include Greenfield and Brownfield development experience, M&A experience, Risk management, strong financial modeling experience and construction and engineering management experience. In sum they must have experience in project development from cradle to grave.

They will be succession candidates for the President of Solar Source.

Desired profile:
1. A successful track record of leading and directing the development and execution of large power plant projects. These projects may be in the development of gas, coal and or nuclear power plants. Experience in the Renewables sector is strongly desired. 2. Experience managing a business unit engaged in development activities, this includes performing internal and external assessments developing and implementing strategic objectives and tactical implementation plans. 3. Strong experience successfully formulating and managing financial goals including governance, budgeting, business development, P&L management, Staffing, communications, financial assessments, construction, and operations. 4. A track record of developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders including employees, the public, executive and board members, Regulators, relevant political bodies and investors. The successful incumbent must have excellent communication skills and the ability to align the company message with strategic goals and the core values of the organization. 5. Proven ability to work effectively in cross functional organizations and ensure that policies, procedures, systems and general initiatives are aligned among the organizations to enable the business to run effectively and meet financial goals and objectives while driving for continuous improvement. 6. Strong Track record of effective management of employees enabling teams to meet business objectives and maintain strong relationships in a matrixed organization. This would include experience working with Legal, EH&S, Land, Finance, treasury, Risk Management, Energy Trading, Market intelligence, Communications, Supply Chain and Governmental affairs. 7. Desire to and history of working in diverse organizations and promoting team work and integrity.

This is an opportunity to assist in running a robust organization and build a best in class solar company through a combination of acquisition and development of acquired projects. There is an existing pipeline of over 1000 MW that will need to be evaluated and developed. They will be working closely with a Vice President who can mentor them though the processes and procedures in place which will help to assure their success. The successful incumbent will need to meet the following goals and objectives in order to be considered successful in this position within the first year. 1. Successful closing of a project. 2. Shown their ability to manage the team in the absence of the Vice President with little or no daily oversight.
