This Lead Electrical Engineering position in the retrofit market involves electrical control systems for gas, steam and nuclear turbine-generators. The position will be focused on the integration of new GE turbine control, generator excitation, generator static starter and generator protection products into existing customer power generation systems. Strong technical management and customer communication skills are essential. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities Analyze technical specifications, tender documents and proposals to develop detailed work scopes and drawings for equipment integration packages (which will involve the details required for a construction contractor to successfully retrofit existing systems with GE turbine control, excitation, static starter, and generator protection products)
Modify customer drawings to reflect existing equipment removal, new equipment installation, and equipment integration
Develop cable, tray & conduit schedules
Develop specifications and generate ordering drawings for large equipment enclosures
Develop specifications and ordering drawings for cables, termination panels, power transformers, segmented bus, and iso-phase bus
Communicate with manufacturing & vendors to ensure all fabrication details are coordinated
Communicate directly with customers to confirm customer needs, to define technical issues / constraints, and to review integration packages Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) / Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology (BSET) from an accredited university or college
Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and integration of electrical power and control equipment
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: Ability to travel to customer and vendor sites within North America and internationally for meetings and site inspections (Approximately up to 15% travel- mainly US) Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
