Job Description:
Position OverviewThe Cadmus Group is a dynamic, innovative consulting firm looking for senior level energy engineers to join our Energy Services team. The Energy Services Group serves public and private clients in the energy field, providing management advice related to energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, potential studies, detailed program evaluation and feasibility studies, and energy efficiency standard setting.
Responsibilities- Work independently to manage research projects and participate in research efforts.
- Lead the assessment of energy efficiency measures in conducting technical, economic, and achievable potential studies.
- Document findings visually and/or verbally for memos and reports to clients, including actionable recommendations.
- Write technical sections of proposals and reports as assigned.
- Promote Cadmuss reputation through conference paper submissions and presentations.
- Assist interdisciplinary teams providing technical input to their projects.
- Mentor and contribute to the development of junior staff.

Requirements- Bachelor or Masters degree in mechanical, electrical, or power systems engineering or related field.
- 5-10 yrs work experience in the energy efficiency field.
- Strong understanding of the required inputs to energy efficiency potential studies, and how the results of these studies influence program design, evaluation, and deemed savings estimates.
- Strong understanding of building systems including boilers, chillers, and ventilation equipment.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities with strong communication and writing skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel.
- Demonstrated initiative, in problem solving methods and engineering capabilities.
- Interest in sustainability, energy policy and/or energy management.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
- Desire to learn and grow.

Preferred- Experience with residential, commercial, and/or industrial energy systems.
- Strong preference for energy efficiency measures and practices.
- 7- 10 years experience conducting energy efficiency potential studies.
- Knowledge of energy conservation and sustainable building practices.
- Preferences for experience with energy analysis tools simulation models (e.g. ENERGY-10, eQUEST, EnergyPro, or equivalent).
- PE license.
- Familiarity with energy sector or utility industry.
