Talascend has an urgent need for Mechanical Superintendents with Nuclear Power Plant construction experience. Positions are in southern Florida
Assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory capacity. Responsible for supervising and directing operations within assigned discipline or area. Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents and others, as assigned. Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets. Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
Responsible for the planning and execution of all aspects of work performed by the customers direct-hire craft and subcontractors in the mechanical discipline on the construction project. Responsibilities to be included but not limited to the following: -- Supervise and direct all work activities for pipe fitters and boiler makers assigned to the project. -- Ensure that all project rules, work practices and procedures are complied with. -- Assignment of proper personnel for specific roles and ensure proper training requirements are met. -- Ensure the correct activities are worked to support overall scheduling objectives. -- Accurate turnover objectives to maintain a smooth flow of work activities. -- Oversee mechanical subcontractor's work to ensure compliance with rules, work practices, and schedules.
Basic Qualifications: Candidate must have minimum of 5 - 10 years mechanical supervision experience relating to construction of power plants or similar industrial facilities Good computer skills plus and working knowledge of current industry quality construction procedures and standards. Must have the right to work and remain in the United States. Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted site access Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License Must be able to climb ladders and able to handle the wearing of protective clothing from contamination May be required to work night shift, and extended hours during outages. Must be physically able to work in a Containment/Reactor building environment includes climbing and working in hot conditions Preferred Qualifications: Steam Generator Replacement experience preferred |
