We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the Company's new business development initiatives in selected, high-growth international markets.
Position Description: This position will support the Company's overall business development efforts in targeted international markets. Daily responsibilities will include technical review of potential projects, markets, proposals/tenders, competitor technology assessment, and preparation of bid proposals, applications and other proposal/tendering-related documents. The project engineer will also participate in developing and reviewing engineering standards and applicable codes and participate in product engineering upgrades and design reviews. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In coordination with the Company's global Business Development team, the Project Engineer will provide technical support and services to facilitate the development of solar thermal energy project and market opportunities in selected international geographies. Major day-to-day responsibilities include: Partner and coordinate regularly with the Company's engineering and research and development teams around the globe Act as a subject matter expert and communicate the technical aspects, value and benefits of BrightSource Energy product(s) to utility customers, investors and partners Review and analyze potential solar sites and apply and use Company's product offerings Create presentations, technical white papers and memoranda for internal and external audiences, including senior management, customers, partners, investors, governments, financing sources and others Lead the technical quantitative and qualitative due diligence on new products, project opportunities and other strategic initiatives. Prepare the technical components of project proposals, specifications, competitive bid responses or other tendering-related documents, including gathering, synthesizing and verifying information from across the Company Support and coordinate customer/client interactions with the Company's global partners, stakeholders and influencers Other Requirements: International and domestic travel required with the potential of an extended international assignment Ability to work at project/construction sites both domestically and internationally Performs other duties as may be determined from time to time Manpower is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA) |
