Job Description:
Minimum Requirements: URS is looking for a Nuclear Safety Specialist at it's Richland, WA location.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior WTP project experience.
2 or more years of experience in the nuclear industry in one or more of the above-listed disciplines
Knowledge of and experience with application of DOE-STD-3009-94, Preparation Guide for U.S. Department of Energy Non-Reactor Nuclear Facility Documented Safety Analyses, DOE G 423.1-1A, Implementation Guide for Use in Developing Technical Safety Requirements, DOE O 420.1B, Facility Safety, and all other DOE Policies, Orders, Standards, and Guides that pertain to nuclear safety, and/or equivalent commercial nuclear standards and requirements.
Capabilities to develop graphics and diagrams.
Experience working with Bechtel EDPIs and other Bechtel policies and procedures.
Possess the legal right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.


Job Description: Role Overview
This position is responsible for collecting, formatting, and documenting information gathered in hazards identification and analysis meetings. Other duties will include providing general technical support to nuclear safety professionals. Strong technical writing ability is a requirement to succeed in this position.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, physical sciences, or other technical degree from a four-year accredited college or university with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the nuclear industry in one or more of the following disciplines:
o Accident Analysis, Hazards Analysis, Criticality Analysis, Regulatory Programs, Unreviewed Safety Questions, or Licensing Documentation.
In lieu of experience, Master's degree in engineering, physical sciences or other technical field.
Extremely proficient in use of Microsoft office products (i.e., Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel).
