Job Description:	This position is contingent upon contract award. ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer. Provide technical leadership and engineering support in the field of RADIATION EFFECTS (RE) for natural and man-made environments as applied to avionics, land-based systems, and space-based systems. Particular focus is on requirements analysis, circuit analysis, parts testing, and hardness assurance. Must be able to perform and lead work with minimal guidance and direction. Will perform RE engineering design and analysis; monitor weekly cost accounts for earned value; create RE test plans, reports, and other required documentation; prepare/present technical/programmatic RE issues to management and customers; and provide RE technical inputs in support of proposals, quotations, and schedules. Qualification Required Must have the following: - BSEE, BS in Physics or other relevant technical/engineering discipline, or equivalent - Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance - 3+ years of electronic circuit or device design experience - Familiarity with semiconductor device functional operation, parameters, and manufacturing technology - Demonstrated ability to organize work with minimal direction. - Must be capable of handling many responsibilities simultaneously - Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills in dealing with other functional departments. - Experience with designing for single event effects in the space environment, avionics, and land-based systems -Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-814, MIL-HDBK-815 and MIL-STD-750D -Ability to multitask to support several concurrent projects -Knowledgeable of RE laboratory equipment; i.e., types and application -Circuit/system design knowledge and experience -Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with the MS Office Suite - U.S. Citizenship Due to the nature of this contract and position, the company will not consider any individuals who have consistently worked either as a subcontractor or consultant within the last 5 years. Qualification Desired Prefer the following: - MSEE, MS in Physics or other relevant technical/engineering discipline - Special Access Clearance - 1 to 3 years of radiation effects experience on systems, custom circuits, standard microcircuits, etc. - Familiarity with hardness assurance, parts control, device technologies, etc. - 1 to 3 years of experience with manufacturing planning and quality assurance procedures - Outstanding team environment skills - Proficient in PSpice and Visio Division Description ENSCO’s ISS Division located in Endicott, NY, is a leading engineering, software, and information technology company specializing in avionics systems, software, mechanical and electrical engineering.
