Senior Renewable Energy Program and Project Manager

Job Description: Minimum Requirements : BA/BS in related Engineering or Science disciplines. URS has a rapidly expanding power practice and seeks a senior-level manager with 10+ years of consulting experience in western US energy markets, particularly in California, with an emphasis on renewable energy projects, particularly solar PV and/or CSP.

The ideal candidate would have experience performing siting studies, managing due diligence studies, and working with a larger technical team on project permitting, recognizing that permitting experience is desired but not essential. Experience with the California Energy Commission AFC process would be valuable.

Other relevant skills include business development, proposal preparation, budgeting, presentations, and project management, including the ability to work collaboratively within a team framework. Work with a team of biologists, archaeologists, planners, GIS specialists and others in conducting technical studies and preparing reports. This person would be responsible for renewable energy business development for our Sub-region.
Job Description : Business development and program and project management of inter-disciplinary teams that could involve:
1. Site and corridor selection studies for solar and other power generation and transmission projects in California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico
2. due diligence reports, risk assessments, etc
3. Coordinate with team members involved with permitting and preparing environmental impact studies for solar and other power projects.
