CS AutoCAD Designer - Nuclear Employer: Bechtel Corp. Job Location: Frederick , MD Cash Compensation: Job Description: Within one discipline plans and executes designs from basic data supplied. Prepares drawings and/or constructs detailed scale models showing complete engineered systems, structures and plant arrangements. Generates 2-D drawings or 3-D CAD design models of average complexity based on information from others. Performs design tasks having a minor degree of complexity. Provides support in technical work for the Control Systems discipline on nuclear power projects. Performs routine tasks using established principles and procedures. Must have some mathematical, computer, code or design capability, or a combination of the same. This individual will work with engineers and senior designers to produce detailed engineering drawings and documentation for nuclear power plant systems. These design activities will include the areas of instrument installation design and/or control systems design. In the area of instrumentation, examples of required design documentation may include process or sample tubing details, instrument mounting details, instrument supports, instrument enclosure details, input to computerized database (I/O list and instrument index), and specification of simple instrumentation such as bimetallic thermometers and pressure gauges. In the area of controls design, examples of required design documentation may include instrument loop diagrams, logic diagram, analog functional block diagrams, control panel layouts and operator graphic displays. Basic Requirements: Candidates responding to this posting must currently possess the eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office. 2 year degree in a related engineering science. 1 year design experience including the use of AutoCAD Preferred Requirements: 4 Year Engineering Technology Degree.
