Senior Nuclear Pipe Support Engineer Employer: Shaw Group Job Location: Charlotte , NC Cash Compensation: Job Description: Perform pipe support design and stress analysis for BOP systems of the AP1000 nuclear plant. Utilize 3D model in PDS and Smart Plant Review. Evaluate support structure to ASME III and B31.1 code requirements. Work independently but as part of a team. Understand and work to company and project procedures. Interface with other disciplines and with other companies. Occasional travel to customer sites and to vendor facilities. Qualification Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 8 years experience with designing and stress analyzing steam, condensate and heater drains piping for nuclear power plants or similar industrial facilities. Experience with common nuclear pipe support computer programs such as Pelican Forge, STRUDL or STAAD. Experienced in ASME code sections. Must be able to plan, organize, and execute the work.
