| Job Description: |
Directs the function of Procurement Systems for all projects within a
global business unit. Ensures that corporate Procurement, global
business unit management and global business unit Procurement policies,
procedures and guidelines are followed. Provides consultation and
expert advice and participates in planning, developing and implementing
solutions to meet global business unit Procurement Systems automation
requirements. Works closely with Procurement Systems supervisors to
ensure projects are started properly and are correctly maintained to
completion.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
This position assists the Manager of Nuclear Material & Services in
directing the function on a major nuclear project within a global
business unit; ensures that corporate Procurement & Subcontracts and
project policies, procedures and guidelines are followed; provides
consultation and expert advice and participates in planning, developing
and implementing solutions to meet project Safety, and Quality
commitments and Cost and Schedule goals.
In addition, works closely with project procurement, engineering,
construction and quality assurance managers and supervisors to ensure
the project is properly and correctly accomplished and maintained to
completion; analyzes the effectiveness of established procedures,
processes and techniques for possible improvement; and provides
operational guidance, direction, and training to project Nuclear
Material & Services personnel. Also performs as the Manager Nuclear
Material & Services in the Managers absence; coordinates support and
technical issues related to source and incoming inspections,
verifications, procurement engineering activities including
procurement strategy development, sourcing, procurement specifications
and internal and supply based Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) with
other project functions and disciplines. Evaluates skills and
proficiency of nuclear material & services personnel and directs
necessary training programs to maintain proper personnel qualifications.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree and 15 years procurement experience (23
years without a degree) which includes advanced knowledge and
application of nuclear and government codes, orders, and standards (i.e.
NQA-1, ASME SectionIII, CGD EPRI) related to quality, inspection or
commercial grade dedication. Must be able to complete a pre-hire drug
screen and back ground check. Must have the right to work and remain in
the United States.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in the set-up and oversight of large complex source
surveillance, incoming inspection testing, and procurement engineering
or related activities, as well as supervision. Knowledge of interface
relationships with engineering, construction, project management and
government agencies.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in all aspects of Procurement Systems dealing with hardware
and software requirements. |
