AREVA Renewable Inc. is seeking a Project Manager. This position will report to the to the EPC Projects Director, and will oversee the engineering, procurement and erection of new biomass (wood waste fired) power plants and will be located in Philadelphia, PA. Projects range in excess of $150 Million. This position has been posted for candidate identification for an opening at a near future date.
Responsibilities include:
* Coordination and management of a team of personnel in the AREVA offices, subcontractors for engineering, equipment supply and erection for the specific plant or project assigned.
* Utilization of standard plant engineering and design to formulate the building of other projects and strive for overall cost reductions and continuous improvement.
* Proposal development and award through execution and contract closeout.
* Customer interaction, proposal development and target price development, P&L, planning, scheduling and control of project activities to achieve project objectives.
* Providing project leadership for major biomass power plants design, procurement and construction.
* Preparing project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.
* Utilization approved project management methods and processes to execute medium risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations.
* Providing primary interface between project team, management and owner.
* Developing assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
* Coordination of multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance.
* Defines and forecasts needed skills to meet project objectives.
* Manages P&L, cash flow and ensures attainment of expected cash position; manages revenue and cost declarations.

AREVA Renewable Inc. is looking for talents and skilled resources to form its US team to handle the engineering, procurement and construction of biomass power plants to be built across US.
Qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:
* BS/BA in Engineering or related field, plus 15 years of project experience, or related experience in lieu of degree, plus 19 years of project experience.
* Excellent knowledge of major PM plan development, implementation and administration.
* Knowledge of power plants and project processes, procedures and tools.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff & management.
* Ability to cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Previous P&L responsibility.
* Managed projects in excess of $100 million in revenue with multiple contractor lump sum contracts.
* Experience in the management of integrated multiple sub-projects and project implementation strategy.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
* Possess PMP certification.
* Previous steam boiler power plant engineering construction management experience.
* Good knowledge of power generation issues and requirements.
* Project managed similar 50MW or larger steam boiler plant projects including engineering, procurement and construction teams.
* Experience with international clients and staff.
* Direct people management responsibilities.
* Knowledge of risk management, project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, contracts and cost control and forecasting.
Travel: 25% of the time.
