Job Location: Cary , NC Cash Compensation: Job Description: Req Description • Ensure that ABBs products and solutions are specified and sold into the Solar OEM’s. This will have to be done through the LBU´s with the support from the various Core Teams. • Work with Design houses, panel builders, consultants and OEMs´ to ensure the penetration of ABB products and solutions • Develop, establish and lead the Solar Vertical in NAM, with tasks including, but not limited to: project definitions and goals, market studies, value analysis, and customer behavior studies. • Develop and implement Solar business plans. Establish the appropriate mode and frequency for review. • Establish and follow up key actions supporting Solar business development on the NAM market. • Monitor OR and OEM penetration progress on a quarterly basis. • Strengthen customers relationships • Identify various strategies currently underway in business units, and serve as a central point of coordination for those initiatives. To the greatest extent possible, ensure that business units are working from a cohesive Solar plan. There will be a global “handshake” between the ISI and the BU as to their strategy, and the NAM ISI leader will help execute those strategies. • Identify and lead the Solar core teams. This includes identification of key stakeholders in various business units and ensuring that all members are communicating openly with the expectation of achieving a common goal • Lead the US efforts in identifying Federal opportunities, resolving entry barriers and realizing Order targets • Serve as the lead for GAM initiatives included in the Full Potential Plan • Sales Target Ensure demand side budget. Budget planning of Sales in alignment with the the respective Global ISI objectives and coordinated with the Country Managers. • Market coverage Optimize market coverage by geography, channels and product lines. Develop new customers and market segments and ensures profitable increase of local volume. • Business opportunities Strengthen the customer relationship through market intelligence, market communications and local account management. Where appropriate, take active personal role in sales. Be proactive in alliance and potential acquisitions. Education Bachelor's degree Interpersonal Skills Excellent written/oral communication skills Work Experience • 5+ of general business leadership experience, including management, P&L’s, and business development. • 3 – 5 years of experience in the leading sales efforts across ABB Divisions. • Sales experience • Good understanding of Solar components and associated technologies • Ability to act and decide quickly • Self driven • Have a good knowledge of NAM market (customers, end-user, administration, competitors, financial institutions…). • Have a good understanding of how ABB works internally Company Description: ABB is a global leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact.
