Job Summary:
Develops product and market specific sales strategies and tactics. Identifies qualified customers in need of large scale renewable energy projects (primarily solar, but could include wind, fuel cells, geothermal, biomass and landfill gas) in a specific vertical market and/or region. Secures new customers by direct solicitation, building business relationships with alliance partners, customer organizations, energy-users groups, Federal, state and local agencies. Facilitates customer meetings and the introduction of Constellation Energy¿s financial and project development capabilities. Secures customer commitments and coordinates and manage proposal development and related presentations to customers. Closes project contracts. Possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of Renewable Energy markets, technologies, RPS mandates, REC markets and utility, public and private sector procurement contracting practices. Shares and expresses a sincere passion for developing renewable energy projects as a means to improve the environment. Maintains an entrepreneurial mindset to develop a major market in an evolving business environment.

Locations:
Prefer Baltimore, Md. and/or NJ but would consider remote offices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Closees contracts to meet annual revenue and gross margin targets.
- Continually develops a thorough knowledge of renewable energy markets, legislation, trends and evolving technologies
- Creates a business sales plan with well defined objectives and goals and execute within specified timelines
- Identifies and contacts target clients, key decision makers and build long term relationships
- Identifies customer business goals, challenges, driving forces and project needs.
- Creatively finds features/applications of the Constellation Energy¿s product line, which satisfy customer needs.
- Serves as the primary customer point of contact, fully qualify potentials and close contracts
- Prepares sales forecasts, track sales performance, and write sales reports
- Identifies and coordinates responses to RFP¿s, RFQ¿s and RFI¿s.
- Assists Project Development to prepare and present ¿top of class¿ proposals and presentations
- Participates in selected seminars, conferences, and energy-user groups to meet new customers.
- Maintains a good relationship with Constellation Energy¿s internal and external customers.
- Seeks market intelligence about competitors, their products and approaches.
- Identifies opportunities to cross sell other Constellation Energy product offerings
Qualifications
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
This position includes working in an office environment either situated in a designated office location or may require work out of a home environment. This position will require some travel with exposure to a variety of facilities when visiting customer sites. May require some extended periods of sitting, PC computer work and reading. Some long hours are required.

Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with Renewable energy related products and services
- Knowledge of related markets and potential customers
- Demonstrated successes in securing sales of complex sales transactions
- Proficiency in making C-suite and industry conference presentations
- Track record of developing and retaining long term business relationships
- Aptitude to successfully perform contract negotiations and close sales
- Demonstrated ability to qualify sales opportunities in line with business plan goals
- Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple business opportunities over large geographic area.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
Education/Experience:
- A Bachelor¿s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
- MBA desirable
- A minimum of 10 years experience in solution sales and/or business development.
