We are currently seeking an Electronic Systems Integration (ESI) Communications Engineer in our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit. Our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit, based out of our corporate headquarters in Cranberry, PA, specializes in product development, systems engineering, component design, equipment manufacturing, and project management for new nuclear power plants worldwide. It is within this Business Unit that developed the AP1000 design, the safest and most economical nuclear power plant available in the worldwide commercial market place. In this position, the Electronic Systems Integration (ESI) Communications Engineer can expect to develop requirements for and direct the design efforts for the AP1000 Electronic Data Infrastructure to include: • Definition of overarching guidelines for communications systems (VoIP, public announcing systems, digital telephones, radio, WiFi) within the AP1000 design. This includes defining and documenting the scope and constraints affecting these systems within the AP1000 design. Specific Desired Skills The successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following: -Design and installation experience in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Land Mobile Radio Service (LMRS), public address system and wireless communications technology. -Experience in/knowledge of secure voice communications methods. -Cisco certification or equivalent for VoIP. -Experience with dealing telephone companies in setting up interfaces (e.g., contract work with line setups, PBX exchanges, etc.).
