Marketing Manager Employer: Advanced Alternative Energy Corp Job Location: Lawrence , KS Cash Compensation: Job Description: The purpose of the Marketing Manager is to create or oversee creation of well written communication pieces for distribution and publication. This position will also provide administrative assistance to the AAEC marketing team as requested, as well as focus on PR, front end web site administration, special events, and media relations. This position works under minimal supervision and reports to the Director of Marketing. Essential Responsibilities: Plan, research, write, or oversee creation and coordination of various publications for both external and internal use. These may include brochures, press releases and public service announcements, correspondence, proposals, advertisements, displays, presentations, feature articles, flyers, surveys, and reports; Manage the distribution process for various publications, press releases, advertisements, etc.; Maintain consistent brand messaging through all internal and external communications; Prepare specifications conforming to bid processes, obtain estimates, and assist in vendor selection for projects in various media; Update web site, maintaining integrity of content; Systematically evaluate use and usefulness of web site content. Troubleshoot problems and inefficiencies; Assist management in setting content use and graphic standards policies. Assist with general internal and external marketing efforts including media campaigns, promotions, and projects; Develop story concepts for media relations effort; Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating special events such as open houses, trade shows, tours, etc. Coordinate some events in their entirety; Arrange and coordinate the activities of independent vendors such as photographers, writers, and printers; Independently complete special projects as assigned. Successful respondent may work from his/her home in the U.S. Skills Requirements: Four-year college degree in publishing, communications, English, marketing, management or related coursework preferred; Minimum of 1 year of experience in Marketing or communications support is desired; Working knowledge of standard office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Must have excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to use basic office equipment such as copiers, printers, fax machines, etc. Attention to detail and ability to multitask accurately. Some international travel may be required.
