Job Description:	The Commercial Operations department at Dayton Power & Light is responsible for managing the Company’s commodity position related to the utilization of the Company’s generation assets and load obligations. Commercial Operations manages the day-ahead and real-time dispatch of generation assets in Regional Transmission Organizations (RTO) and is also responsible for the position management of energy, capacity, transmission and ancillary services, coal and other fuels, emissions allowances, and renewable energy credits. Additionally, the group is responsible for logistics and quality control of fuels and other commodities. The Project Manager, Biofuel Development and Procurement is responsible for development, implementation and management of the biofuel procurement program. Job Skills/Requirements Liaison between Generation Operations, Asset Management and Commercial Operations for biofuel plan development, testing and full scale implementation. Works with Asset Management and Generation Operations to develop specifications for biofuel. Identifies sources of processed biofuel and raw biomass. As necessary, manages project...[more] * Liaison between Generation Operations, Asset Management and Commercial Operations for biofuel plan development, testing and full scale implementation. * Works with Asset Management and Generation Operations to develop specifications for biofuel. * Identifies sources of processed biofuel and raw biomass. Evaluates suitability for use as fuel in DPL-operated generating units. * Develops and manages relationships with producers of processed biofuel and raw biomass material. * As necessary, manages projects to implement raw biomass collection site development and processing system installation. * Solicits offers for processed biofuel and raw biomass, negotiates, analyzes, evaluates and recommends the award of contracts that will result in the lowest cost implied Renewable Energy Credit production. * Oversees the administration of biofuel and raw biomass supply contracts and ensures that each contract is performed in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. Takes corrective action as required. * Works cooperatively with logistics area for scheduling of biofuel supply shipments to assure minimization of transportation costs; the preparation and analyses of various quality, cost, and usage accounting reports related to biofuel and raw biomass; and the coordination of biofuel supply with power plant management. * Works with and supports others in the preparation of forecasts of biofuel requirements for operational and budgetary purposes. * Works with and supports others in analyzing and developing inventory targets that are adequate to avoid supply disruptions and minimize inventory carrying costs. * Performs other duties as directed by the Director, Fuel Procurement. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Business required. * Five (5) years specific or related experience required. * Expert knowledge in Engineering and Project Management and Buying/Relationship Management is essential. * Analytics experience is preferred.
