Engineering Manager- Solar

Job Description: Responsibilities

Responsible for managing product development of advanced solar tracker systems for solar power generation systems. Duties include managing product design, development and deployment; assuring trackers meet reliability, performance and cost targets; working collaboratively with Operations to ensure designs are manufacturable and transferable across the supply chain; improving the installation, maintenance and cleaning characteristics of the complete arrays; providing on-going engineering support for existing tracker installations.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering plus minimum (5) five years progressive experience in job offered or in mechanical/controls engineering for solar tracker systems. Masters degree in mechanical or electrical engineering plus (3) three years experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelors degree and five years experience. Experience must also include:

• Experience in Tracker Mechanical and Structural Design specific to CPV requirements.

• Thorough knowledge of the correlation between CPV system’s acceptance angle and tracking accuracy.

• Significant understanding of CPV tracker motion, frequency and range, and how these differ across global locations.

• Expertise with kinematic mechanisms appropriate to drive CPV trackers.
