Job Description: Basin Electric, a consumer-owned regional cooperative in Bismarck, north Dakota, has an opening for manager of Construction. This position directs and manages the construction management program for major Basin Electric capital and maintenance projects at new and existing generation, transmission and telecommunication facilities in a safe, consistent, professional manner to ensure compliance with safety, specifications, schedules, costs, quality control and within all environmental and permitting requirements. Directly or through supervision, this position also provides construction coordination services as assigned for various Basin Electric projects.

Requirements:
four-year degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering program or Construction Management program and fifteen (15) years of planning, developing, and directing the design/ construction of major projects or 19 years of related engineering and construction management experience
extensive knowledge of engineering, constructability and comprehensive construction experience
working knowledge of civil, electrical, mechanical and architectural disciplines as they relate to the full range of construction at cooperative facilities
expertise in safety, contract and labor negotiations, supervision, scheduling, cost control and other pertinent aspects of construction management
should also have project management experience and supervisory skills
a valid driver's license is required
professional engineering registration is preferred.
