An independent solo practice Radiation Oncology opportunity is opening up soon for the right Physician. If you enjoy small town life while having urban amenities close at hand, this increasingly hard-to-find opportunity to “hang out your shingle” in a brand-new practice may be perfect for you and your family. Our ideal candidate will have the personality and outgoing “people person” mindset to build a practice and become an active respected member of an extremely livable community. Previous private practice experience is preferred but not an absolute requirement. Our Physician would appreciate the opportunity to shape his or her ideal solo practice without bureaucracy, committee meetings or traffic-clogged commute, with lots of autonomy balanced by easy access to nearby partners for coverage, advice, and camaraderie. If you think anything short of a cyberknife or proton beam facility is low-tech, this position is definitely not for you, but if living in a delightful, growing Texas community perfect for raising kids or just having a high quality of life while working with solid equipment including IMRT capability and excellent Physics and Dosimetry resources is appealing, by all means contact us. This Clinic will be located in Bastrop, Texas, on the shore of a small lake immediately adjacent to the brand-new local hospital and a recently completed upscale professional office building. A local Medical Oncology group plans to occupy the second story space of our Center, allowing truly unified Oncology care. Bastrop itself lies on the Colorado River in the unique Lost Pines region of Texas and boasts historic homes, world class golfing at nearby Cola Vista Country Club and Hyatt Lost Pines Resort courses, hiking, biking, hunting, boating, excellent school systems, and easy access to metropolitan Austin, Texas, and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport less than 30 minutes away! Center construction is set to begin soon, and we expect to be seeing patients in a 12-18 month time frame. After an initial salaried period based on experience and qualifications, participation in the technical income stream on top of professional revenues is anticipated. A candidate could plan to time his or her sign-on to our Grand Opening or possibly join us earlier under special arrangements to smooth the transition.
