Description

A premier utility in the southeast is seeking an Operations Manager for its Nuclear Generation Group at the company’s headquarters in North Carolina. The Manager of Fleet Operations will set the performance standard and direction for each plant's Operations Department in the company’s nuclear fleet.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Fleet Operation's primary duty is to ensure top quartile performance for each of the company’s nuclear plants. Results will be attained by providing guidance and support to station personnel. Responsibilities include identifying best operating practices and establishing fleet alignment of strategic initiatives. This position requires frequent independent interfacing with Plant Managers and Vice Presidents and NGG senior management, up to and including the Chief Nuclear Officer.

Requirements

Candidates must have a 4-year degree and a minimum of 10 years of operational experience in the commercial nuclear power industry as a licensed SRO, including at least two years at the Operations Superintendent level or above. A master’s degree and multi-design experience (i.e. BWR & PWR) are highly desired. Candidates must possess outstanding intangible attributes such as communication skills, decision making abilities, and leadership qualities.
