| Job Description: |
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and works within a dynamic setting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform duties relating to patient care, clinical imaging, quality
control and radiation safety
- Maintain patient safety and comfort at all times
- Assist in the clerical function of the department
- Maintaining competence as required by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
- Rotation among our Toronto clinics, which are located downtown and are easily accessible by transit, will be required
- Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current registration with the C.M.R.T.O (mandatory); C.A.M.R.T. membership preferred but not mandatory
- Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Technology diploma or degree program, or equivalent, from recognized school
- Proven ability to use all types of scanning/spect equipment and ancillary equipment
- Proven ability to perform all required imaging procedures and recent experience in Nuclear Medicine in a healthcare facility
- Demonstrated ability to assess requests for imaging procedures; demonstrated ability to be able to use office equipment including: computers, intercoms, telephones, and fax machines
- Demonstrated effective organizational, prioritization and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work productively with frequent interruptions
- Willing to rotate within our different nuclear medical imaging clinics located in the GTA
