Kiewit Corporation is looking for enthusiastic person to develop and manage our new nuclear quality department. Kiewit Corporation is the seventh largest contractor in the United States and is preparing for work in the commercial nuclear market as well as work with the Department of Energy. This position will reside in the corporate office in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage all Nuclear Quality programs and procedures in the company.
- Advise or consult with other organizations on procedural compliance with 10CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1.
- Implement and/or conduct nuclear quality processes.
- Nuclear Qualified Equipment List and nuclear qualification upgrades.
- Monitor qualification aspects of engineering/CCB activities.
- Maintain Nuclear Qualification files.
- Train the department and the company in Nuclear Quality matters.
- Participate in evaluation/audit of nuclear supplies.
- Review and monitor for compliance to 10CFR21.
- Monitor and support nuclear integration project activities.
- Develop Nuclear Quality Assurance programs.
- Write Nuclear Quality Assurance manuals/revisions as needed for ASME NQA - 1¿2004, Part I and Part II.
- Supervise all nuclear related engineering/manufacturing specific programs and procedures.
Qualifications
** Minimum of 10 years of documented industry or government nuclear related experience associated within the broad range of activities including the design, licensing and construction of a nuclear facility regulated by Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE).
** Experience managing complex, highly visible and controversial projects of similar size that required highly skilled engineers, scientists, and other technical experts collaboratively under demanding schedules and intense oversight.
** Demonstrated complete understanding of the NRC licensing process and regulations, and NQA-1 requirements in past work assignments.
** Strong management and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with both Federal personnel and other contractors in a collaborative manner.
** Capable of managing, directing, and integrating a specialized and multi-disciplined technical and scientific team.
** Requires an engineering degree and an advanced degree (preferred) from an accredited institution.
** Computer proficiency in Microsoft tools (word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook)
** Overnight travel is required (35-50%) depending on task requirements.
** Current certification as Lead Auditor - Ref. NQA-1. (Preferred)
** Able to obtain and maintain a U. S. Clearance (Department of Energy ¿ Q level and higher).
** Submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test, and show proof of eligibility for employment in the United States.
