Job Summary
Performs various types of diagnostic tests on nuclear plant equipment to provide technical support to Engineering, Maintenance and Operations activities. Assists in the execution of maintenance programs, and maintaining technical accuracy and documentation of diagnostic tests. Applies knowledge and expertise in data collection and/or preliminary analysis for the following predictive maintenance technologies: Thermography, Check Valve Acoustic Monitoring, Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonic Flow Measurement, Ventilation Testing, Diesel Engine Recip Analysis, and Oil Sampling. Performs moderate to complex maintenance activities and tests to measure plant efficiency and component condition, ensure compliance with technical specifications, help reduce the amount of reactive maintenance, maintain equipment reliability and ensure the organization is able to plan any repair/replacement with minimum impact on operations or facility schedule. Operates, calibrates and maintains analytical instruments. Troubleshoots instrumentation and methods as necessary. Reviews routine test results for conformance to technical and operating specifications. Responsible for duties such as: updating and maintaining logs, records and files; evaluating test data and providing initial recommendations, assisting in troubleshooting component problems, checking and repairing test equipment, providing input to preventive maintenance program, supporting scheduled support activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelors degree in related engineering. 5 plus years directly related experience. Demonstrated ability to perform advanced diagnostics.
Self-starter, detail oriented with good analytical and problem solving skills.
Skilled in performing routine to moderately complex analyses and calculations, with ability to recommend changes in equipment, products or test methods.
Ability to interpret and communicate technical findings.
Ability to extract engineering data from various prescribed sources, process the data following well defined methods, and present the data in prescribed form.

Required: Bachelors in Engineering
