How to avoid legal problems when conducting an employee evaluation?

When evaluating construction employees it's best to keep employer compliance, performance and accomplishments very specific. Areas needing improvement and areas where construction employees did well should be document in writing. Rewards and reprimands should be tied specifically to the facts without judgment. Warnings should also be documented so that should a termination occur, the employee's record will demonstrate documented evidence of poor behavior over time.
