Is it worth it to Practice Participatory Management?

According to experts, the average employed construction executive today works at less
than 50 percent of capacity. According to some studies, fully 55% of
employees today are “not engaged” with their work. They merely going
through the motions and doing just enough to avoid being laid off or fired.
One of the most valuable contributions you can make to your construction employer
is to create an environment where people enjoy working and feel motivated
to perform at higher and higher levels. Participatory management is
one of the most effective tools you can use for achieving this goal.
There is no better way to build a powerful, positive team of highly motivated
people than by bringing them together on a regular basis to talk, discuss argue, work out problems, make plans, and generally share information, ideas, and experiences. This is the key to building peak-performers teams and construction employer spirit.
