In June 2008, EDP listed 22.5% shares of EDP Renováveis in an initial public offering on the Euronext Lisbon Stock Exchange, upon which it immediately became a member of the benchmark Portuguese Stock Index-20 (PSI-20) as its fifth-largest company by market capitalization.
