Canada Energy Partners Inc. is an independent coalbed methane (CBM) and conventional natural gas exploration and development company. It was formed for the purpose of acquiring interests in the Peace River CBM Project (the shallow rights) and conventional natural gas interests (deep rights) in the Peace River area in northeast British Columbia. Shallow rights include Peace River CBM Project, which consists of approximately 50,788 gross (25,394 net) acres of CBM prospective acreage. It owns 50% working interest in the Peace River CBM Project. Deep rights on the Peace River Project consist of approximately 33,000 gross and net acres of prospective acreage. It owns 100% working interest subject to a joint venture agreement with Crew Energy Inc. It?s Monias Prospect consisting of approximately 6,518 acres and located in the Peace River Plains area near Hudson?s Hope, British Columbia.
