Carron is a private power company formed by Alex Lambie , Chief Executive and Shezad Abedi , Commercial Director, in February 2003 to take advantage of the then numerous distressed power assets in the UK. Mirza Beg was invided to join the company as a Non-Executive Director in November 2003 with Michael Reynolds being invited to join as Non-Executive Chairman in March 2004. Carron Energy Limited was acquired using the backing of Rutland Fund Partners the UK private equity firm that specialises in turnaround and recovery acquisitions.
