Regency Energy Partners LP is an independent midstream natural gas provider engaged in the gathering, processing, contract compression, marketing and transportation of natural gas. The Company provides these services through systems located in Louisiana, Texas and the mid-continent region of the United States, which includes Kansas and Oklahoma. The Company divides its operations into three business segments: Gathering and Processing, Transportation and Contract Compression. In January 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Houston-based CDM Resource Management, Ltd. (CDM), which is a provider of natural gas compression services. In January 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of FrontStreet Hugoton, LLC, from an affiliate of GE Energy Financial Services (a unit of General Electric Company) and FrontStreet EnergyOne, LLC. In March 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Nexus Gas Holdings, LLC.
