Sunburst Energy Systems, Inc. is a mechanical contracting company organized in 1980 by William Vinal and Craig Elston. The company in its early days installed hundreds of solar systems in Pennsylvania and was noted for there ability to design and engineer elaborate systems. In 1983 they installed their first heat submetering system which led to the installation of hundreds of systems including heat allocation, gas, electric and water metering systems to the present. In 1985 the two owners organized a new company by the name of Monitor Data Corporation to provide the manufacturing of heat allocation systems and provide a comprehensive utility billing service for their installations. With the evolution of solar to submetering it was a natural to evolve into the heart of the heating systems. Sunburst Energy Systems, Inc. has established an excellent reputation for boiler replacement and HVAC replacement in apartment buildings. The company installs over 400 HVAC systems per year and many large and small boilers for the apartment communities in the tri-state area. The area where the company has gained the most notoriety is in converting all electric properties to gas. Sunburst has converted over 3500 units in the past seven years and has won numerous awards for their installations.
