Company Description:
The Energy Cooperative is a nonprofit, member-owned cooperative with over 6500 members throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. Founded in 1979 by Weaver's Way, a successful food cooperative in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, The Energy Cooperative has provided savings on home heating oil for more than 25 years. In 1998 we became a licensed electrical supplier because we believed that the best way for residential consumers and small businesses to benefit from electric deregulation was by combining their buying power. Thousands of households, businesses, organizations and municipalities count on us to help them control their energy costs. The Energy Cooperative is licensed by the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission as an electricity supplier in Pennsylvania.
