The Town of Berlin, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, just 10 minutes from the beach resort community of Ocean City, is seeking an Electric Utility Director. The Town of Berlin is a historic community known for its beautiful Victorian architecture, has a strong environmental stewardship ethic, is filled with many arts and entertainment venues and attracts a diverse population of visitors and residents. The Town serves approximately 2,300 electric customers and has annual service revenues of about $7 million. Annual peak demand is about 11 MW. Power requirements are met principally through purchased power contracts. Approximately 7 MW of peak generation is owned by the Town and is used principally to reduce annual peak capacity obligations.
