Clean Energy Invest AS was set up in February 2010 as a single purpose company to develop the Adjaristsqali hydro project in Georgia. Clean Energy Group AS has been set up to develop greenfield hydro projects in countries with a sustainable energy framework and untapped hydro potential.

Our senior management has held a number of leading positions in the hydropower industry both in Norway and internationally. Clean Energy Group’s first project is the 400 MW Adjaristsqali hydro project in Georgia. We were awarded the development rights for the project in April 2010 after a competitive tender. The project is developed in cooperation with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group.
