CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company (CHPRC) is the prime contractor for the safe, environmental cleanup of the Central Plateau and River Corridor at the U.S. Department of Energy Richland Operations Office (DOE-RL) Hanford Site in southeast Washington state.
Our work on this 10-year contract includes reducing risks on the Hanford Site by removing some of DOE's highest hazard waste streams and facilities. Some of the projects include cleaning up 270 billion gallons of contaminated groundwater plumes before they reach the Columbia River, removing highly radioactive "sludge" and decommissioning and demolishing the Plutonium Finishing Plant (PFP) that once produced plutonium for the nation's defense.
CHPRC's mission at Hanford is to support DOE-RL to protect the Columbia River and complete projects in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner. CHPRC brings proven experience gained from global and commercial enterprises, as well as successes at other DOE sites to ensure the success of this mission.
