Facilities Manager
 Position summary: This position is responsible for daily facility operations and maintenance. Performs a variety of skilled and unskilled duties in support of the maintenance and preservation of 12 Symantec Offices in the US and Latin America, averaging over 300,000 sq ft of office space, and supporting over 500 customers.
 Essential duties and responsibilities: Manage site relocation projects, manage site construction projects, facilitate office design specification, purchase office furniture orders per company standards, manage new lease relocations and renewals, manage and maintain the electrical contracted services, manage and maintain the cabling contracted services, manage and maintain the security access control contracted services, manage and maintain the general vendor/contractor services and, and all vendor relations and contract preparation.

Integrated the needs of management with the needs of people in the workplace, to develop and manage humane and effective work environments.  Finance & Accounting experience: Manage the operational facilities budget for 12 Symantec offices, over 1MIL a quarter in facilities operation expenses. I am responsible in managing all facilities finances, submitting budget reports, accruals, forecasting, & PO submittals, by utilizing the Yardi finance tool, and Oracle (Symantec’s financial tool). Acquire and submit paper work necessary for setting up proper contracts and purchase orders. Responsible for invoice processing, and new contract submittals for my region.

Accomplishments 1997 - Lead Project Manager on the build out of the first UR Lab for Symantec.
1998 – Acquisition closure: decommission 5 story building of all facility assets. I am currently responsible to manage 1-2 office closures or consolidations a year for the client.
2000 – Project Manager on the design and build out of Symantec’s 27,000 sq ft San Antonio Dev. Facilities. Managing a 1mil dollar project budget.
2001 – Lead Project Manager on the build out of Symantec MX City new floor design and layout project.
2002 – Lead Project Manager on the build out of Symantec’s new Monterrey MX office.
2003/2004 – Lead design and Project Manager on Symantec’s first Security Operation Center, managing ½ mil dollar project budget.
2005 – Manage the consolidation and closures of 4 Veritas office’s for Symantec.
2006 - Assisted in the Veritas/Symantec office consolidation projects throughout LAM.
2007 – Managed the integration of 4 newly acquired Altiris offices for Symantec in Austin, New MX, and LAM.
2008 – Completed the entire FY10 operation budget for Symantec LAM sites, Texas sites, and assisted management team with 7 east coast sites.
