To Whom It May Concern:
Enclosed please find my Resume for consideration to become the Director of your organization. I am interested in this position, as it represents an opportunity for me to lead the Agency in meeting its goals and its challenges that most agencies today are facing with.
As indicated in my resume, I have over 25 years of facility, property management and housing experience with over 18 years of senior level management at the Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada (CCSN) and the Housing Authority of the City of Las Vegas (HACLV). I offer a strong background in facility, property management, social services and housing programs and have held many positions, which have required the use of my diverse knowledge.
For the past 22 months, I was the Director of Facilities and Property Management at CCSN and during my 17 years of service at HACLV, I have held various progressively responsible positions including Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Director of Affordable Housing, Special Assistant to the Executive Director, Acting Director of Operations, and Housing Programs Manager. These positions have given me the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of housing operations, programs, and services. I have successfully administered all of the above functions and proven to the Agency that I have the required knowledge, ability, and leadership.
Also, it is noteworthy to mention that I have an excellent professional and personal reputation in the housing industry as well as a very positive relationship with the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, North Las Vegas Housing Authority, Clark County Housing Authority and with both the Las Vegas and San Francisco HUD offices. Frequently, I have been in contact with the Congressional Delegations, Federal Government, State, County, and City Officials, housing authorities Boards, public and private agencies, media, residents and resident leaders, and the general public. I have handled these contacts in a courteous, efficient, professional manner, and as an administrator, I am proud of such a record.
At the HACLV, we offered housing resources to a diverse elderly and family population utilizing traditional housing programs as well as non-federally aided, tax credit, and mixed finance housing programs under state and local laws. My mission has always been to serve the community's needs using all resources available to provide affordable, decent, safe, and sanitary housing and supportive services. My goals and strategies are targeted to enhance the quality of life to all participants.
In addition to providing the bricks and mortar, which are extremely important, I maintained an open dialogue with our residents and clients, specifically with our resident council members, and insist that my staff work with resident leaders on a constant basis to strengthen the partnership between the agency and our clients.
My work experience has allowed me to acquire a vast working knowledge of virtually very facet of public agency. This allows me to fully understand the tasks required of staff, and the desired results the agency should receive from their efforts.
I look forward to discussing the Director position as well as the salary and the benefit with you. Your consideration is very much appreciated.
Should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Parviz Ghadiri
