• Involved in the design improvements to an underwater expendable mobile training target that is built for the U.S. Navy. Made design changes to the 8051 based design in the vehicle to expand markets for the product.
• Designed electronics for ocean probes that measure various parameters such as temperature, sound velocity and conductivity versus depth. Sippican sells these products to the environmental community and the U.S. Government.
• Recommended, designed and implemented into a P.C. based data acquisition card (MK-12), an anti-alias filter, dynamic range controls and logic revisions to move the product into production. The MK-12 card records and displays an assortment of instrumentation probes built by Sippican.
• Designed telemetry link for a full duplex command and control system multiplexed with video on single mode 1300nm optical fiber. The design supports varying lengths of fiber up to 20 Km. The system implements frequency modulation for signal separation and noise reduction. Video bandwidth of 10 MHz required wideband modulation techniques with full transmission bandwidths exceeding 90 MHz.
