Senior Project Manager; Optisolar, Inc., Sacramento, CA; Optisolar is an independent power provider (IPP). Direct design and construction $500,000,000 manufacturing facility for production of solar cell panels. Panels installed in very large solar farms (up to 550 megawatts) that produce electricity for the grid. Facility has 40 photo-voltaic (PV) cell production lines; 12 panel assembly lines and will produce 500 megawatts of panels per year. Facility requires two 69 KVA substations and one 12 KVA substation. Solar farms include 100 kilowatt demonstration farm and 60 megawatt power to the grid farm under construction. Developed project execution plans, DOE loan guaranteed documents, selection of project management, document control, commissioning and scheduling tools.
Program Manager, Infrastructure $2.5 billion, 500,000 population, 6 sq. mile, high density urban development. Land preparation required bringing portions to above flood level by channel dredging nearby sea going navigable river, dewatering and typical hauling and compaction. Infrastructure includes: water/wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems, gas, electric, cable TV and extensive open and enclosed storm drainage; light-rail system, multi-modal transportation stations, local streets, expressways and freeways, several freeway interchange connections and 14 bridges. Bridges, culverts and light rail track and sleeper units were design to maximize repetitive construction methodologies. Light rail units and bridge superstructure elements were pre-cast in central casting yard.
Project Director; Discovery Bay Resort; responsible for planning, design and construction of 1600 acre, self-contained seaside resort and residential project. Includes: water/waste water treatment, supply and collection, 90’ high dam for water storage, utilities, streets, ferry pier, multi-modal transfer station, two golf courses by Robert Trent Jones, Co., beach development, tennis facilities, riding trails, marina and pads for luxury hotels, 4000 low-rise condominium and 2166 town house units and 20+ story condominium towers. Except electricity, project totally self-contained.
Director of Construction; Sacramento, CA Development Co.: Projects portfolio: $300,000,000 development for 2,000,000 building square feet region shopping centers and mixed-use urban in-fill developments. Program Manager infrastructure design and construction management infrastructure and buildings. Heavily involved in entitlements, planning, infrastructure design, financing. Major projects from 75-150 acres.
Project Director; New Villages Infrastructure Redevelopment. Responsible for $600,000,000 planning, design and construction management 5 villages in Hong Kong, New Territories and outlying islands. Populations ranged from 16-30,000. Works includes: new building site formation, new and redevelopment roads, water/waste water treatment, distribution and collection systems, gas and electric, cable TV; storm drainage, harbor breakwaters, ferry piers and solid waste transfer stations.
