To Whom It May Concern:
Hi, I saw your ad today online and if the job profile does not fit my current resume, please keep it on file for future employment. The developers I’ve been employed with for the last three years are closing their doors and my position as Project Manager ended October 28th 2008 due to the economic hardship. At your request I can get you reference letters from the developers along with a list of other telephone numbers to verify my experience.
Along with my passion, I have extensive experience in managing multiple projects effectively by completing jobs on schedules, with excellent workmanship and with excellent profit margins. I recent employment with a major developer in the North East Georgia Mountains. My current responsibilities were managing the infrastructure improvements such as; Water and Sewer Improvements, Electric, Telephone, Cable, Roads and Environmental. My responsibilities in the residential building are ten Golf Villas with two units in each ranging from 4500 square feet to 6250 square feet an estimated 25,000,000 in total project cost.
I have twelve years of experience, with extensive responsibilities such as; estimating, planning and creating budget’s for construction cost, creating construction schedules, maintaining the schedule using several methods of software, issue work orders, change orders, purchase orders, ordering all material, schedule all inspections with building inspectors, engineers, equipment testing, bank draw, etc.
My position requires the ability to maintain constant multitasking and the ability to make decisions while under pressure. I feel that my ability to maintain multiple jobs and stay focused under pressure makes me a qualified Manager in any field of work, but I desire and love working in the construction industry. I have no restrictions on my traveling or relocating for an employment opportunity. My current home is located in a small community who employed a lot of people in my area. In order to work in my position with my qualifications will require my relocating and I’ve already began my search for new employment. I found your ad on line classified and I’m extremely interested in a position with your company.
The developers I worked for have continued to stand by me as a valued employee during the last six months of a difficult market and they will be happy to elaborate on my experience and dedication to them.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to have the opportunity to discuss the opening with you in person.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Hobbs-Stack
